Data Protection and Privacy Policy
As a leading search and shortlisting consultancy, we want you to have an exceptional experience every time you interact with us.
Recent changes to EU Law
As you may already be aware the European Law has changed around how businesses like us can communicate with and store data about you. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives individuals in the EU more control over how their data is used and places certain obligations on businesses that process information of those individuals. We’ve updated our Privacy Policy and internal policies to reflect the new requirements of the GDPR.
If you are an EU national/resident and you are happy for us to retain the personal career data and contact details that you have provided us in the past, then you don’t need to do anything, but if you would rather we delete all your data from our records, meaning we are not able to communicate with you again for search, recruitment networking, updating your skills profile, or professional surveys, then please update your preference by clicking ‘delete my account from the Campbell Birch data base’.
Our Privacy Policy, in simple structure and clear language
Our data protection undertaking is straightforward. We comply with current data protection and privacy regulations in the countries in which we work.
Our policy is to retain only minimal personal information, such as is needed for the business service/purpose intended. Records of business undertaken with Candidates and Employers/Customers are kept to a minimum, any records over two years old are further edited to a minimum, sufficient for us to be able to remain in contact with you.
We will never sell or give third parties access to any personal or business information you have permitted us to retain for the purposes of recruiting services, recruitment applications, career advice, or being able to maintain communication with you in relation to advising you of career opportunities or asking for your contributions to relevant professional surveys.
When we are working on recruiting applications together, we will never offer your personal career history details to a prospective employer without your sanction. We will never give your personal contact details to any prospective employer or any other third party without your sanction.
Security of your personal or business data, whether you are a candidate, business partner or customer, is paramount. Our cloud database facility is provided by Dillistone Systems, a trusted global service provider; all information retained on that system is encrypted and Dillistone Systems guarantee that they are compliant with all data protection and privacy regulations in the countries that they operate. Data collected during trials of HAI (Human Asset Intelligence) will be held by CodeLaunch Limited, Campbell Birch’s trusted software developer for HAI. After the trials all data will be destroyed/deleted.
All staff, subcontractors and business partners of Campbell Birch and/or HAI sign Ethical Practice and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
